Email Sabina, Simon, the boys and Emilie!
We hope you like the new style newsletter page. Feel free to give us feedback. We have left some of the photos larger than normal so that you can see more, so hopefully it doesn't take to long to load. We're presuming that more and more of you have broadband including us at long last!!

Our trip to Champfleury
We spent a few lovely days at my cousin Rebecca's holiday home near Sancerre, just south of the Loire river. It was the first time that we'd managed to get together with all our six children and they all got on like a house on fire.
The time passed so quickly with swimming, tennis, cycling, table football, trampolining.
Emilie's first trip to England
After Emilie's new passport arrived (via the british consulate in Paris) she took her first trip on a ferry across the channel to England.
Most importantly she met her Granny 'bumble' and Joe-Joe (my Mummy and step-father Joe). We thoroughly enjoyed our mornings together and it seemed the perfect time for them to meet as Emilie has become a very smiley baby who loves interacting with people.

At the beginning of August Simon's friend Pete came over with his daughter Faye, but it was no holiday for Pete. He very kindly spent three very long days re-wiring Simons workshop.
As you can see from the photo of the trench Simon and Pete even laid a new cable taking the power from the house to the workshop. After that it was a zillion new power points and light switches.
Thanks Pete.
Faye enjoyed her time with the boys. Fortunately we hqd a few days of sunshine (rare this summer!)
We took her up to see the cows being milked at the farm behind us. We brought home some very fresh, still-warm cows milk and made rice-pudding from it. It didn't last long!

She met her 'fairy' God-parents Guy and Yvonne and our good friends Cath and Will Carver and their three children, William, Harriet and George.
In July our village had its annual 'Fete'. A great day was had by all: The boys playing with their school friends on the bouncy castle and everyone else enjoying the (rare) sunny weather and good wholesome french food.

Simon helped our friends and (soon-to-be-neighbours) Roy and Syvia dig up their back garden area and lay a new patio.
This is a photo of his grandchildren Sophie and Jamie who came over for a holiday with their parents and they spent some of the time playing with our boys.
Roy then very kindly helped Simon with the trenching for the electrics and networked our two computers so now the office (upstairs, above the workshop) and house computers are now linked and can now both access the internet via the same broadband.
Thanks Roy.
