This chair as you see from the before photo had been painted black. I removed the paint and brought the chair back to it's original look and the seat was re-upholstered.
As you can see when you hold your mouse over this photo the actual chair seat was sagging as well as the upholstery. Along with the woodwork the upholstery has now brought a new lease of life to the chair.
Sections of chairs sometimes need replacing dur to damage or woodworm. These pieces had lost their strength and were replaced to repair the chair
This chair (below) needed to have a section completely re-carved as it was broken with pieces missing. The photo underneath shows the new carving in place as the lighter area, before staining in to match the rest of the chair).
